Delft is a natural fit for day-trip programmes and multi-city itineraries. Its compact historic centre, world-famous Delftware heritage, and connections to the Dutch Royal Family make it a compelling stop for visitors arriving from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, or beyond.
Delft City Tours offers reliable, professionally guided walking tours that can be integrated into your existing programme — whether you operate bus tours, river cruises, or tailor-made group travel.
A guided walking tour through Delft's historic centre, covering key highlights such as the Market Square, the Old Church, the New Church, the canals, and the stories behind them. Tours are engaging, informative, and paced appropriately for mixed-ability groups.
Each guide handles up to 15 guests. For larger groups, multiple guides can be arranged — each sub-group departs separately, and guides are free to vary their route and pacing independently. Please allow adequate lead time so backup guides can be confirmed.
Rates are per guide, excluding VAT.
| Duration | Rate per guide |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | €90 |
| 1.5 hours | €125 |
| 2 hours | €160 |
Example: A 1.5-hour tour for a group of 30 guests requires 2 guides: 2 × €125 = €250 excl. VAT.
Tours are available in English, Dutch, or Spanish. Each guide works in one language per tour. If your guests speak different languages, multiple guides can be assigned accordingly — just let us know when enquiring.
Tours start at the Hugo Grotius statue on the Markt in Delft. This is easy to reach on foot from coach drop-off points in the city centre.
Guide fees cover expert guiding only. Coach parking, transport logistics, and entrance fees to any museums or attractions are not included. Where applicable, these will be invoiced separately.
Booking lead time: Please enquire at least 1 week in advance. For bookings requiring multiple guides, additional lead time is appreciated to secure availability.
Payment: A deposit of 50% is due upfront by bank transfer. The remaining 50% is invoiced after the tour has been completed.
Cancellation: Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the start of the tour. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the 50% deposit.
Weather: Tours proceed in all weather — guests should dress appropriately. The only exception is a Code Yellow or Code Red warning issued by the Dutch national weather agency (KNMI).
